a book review
I bought this book last month because my friend Mickey said the movie version is just the thing I needed to see. Well I wanted to read the book first.
It's not really a novel, but more of like a manual. These were a collaboration of the writers of an episode of Sex and the City which inspired the movie and the book, Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. Each chapter begins with a very forward title on what it is about.
You will read letters from respondents on each chapter concerning the topic and Greg will answer them honestly and straightforwardly from a guy's point of view.
Towards the end of the chapter, Liz will give her own personal experience and advice, this time this is an insight from a girl's point of view.
There's also a section called, "If you don't believe Greg" that's highlighted in black, these will state factoids from surveys that they've gathered.
At the end of each chapter, there are also little exercises to do.
These will help a lot with the learnings and the summary of points on the next succeeding pages.

All in all, I love the honesty and truth in this book. It kinda made me confront my demons and somehow, I could relate to each account in the book. It's empowering in a way because it makes me see the big picture. So my advice to the single ladies out there, it won't hurt to read this book. I think you'll find it enlightening.
Meanwhile, I'm off to see the movie finally. (just not on the big screen anymore)
