Letting my ears decide

A Philips GoGear Aria MP3 player review.

When we were given the press release kit for the MP3 player that I've won on the night of the launching, I read about how different the GoGear range of MP3 players was from the other players in the market. Well, it was different reading those words and actually experiencing the power of the FullSound feature of the player. They were right, (I kid you not!) the music was crystal clear, the resonance of every beat made by each instrument can now be heard adding to a very delightful and spine-tingling music experience. The complement of the noise cancelling earphones added to the superb sound quality as well.  When I put on those earphones, I'm lost in the world of music. I can now enjoy the music and living in my own world for a while. Perfect to filter out distractions when I'm working.

The GoGear Aria
I got the 4G GoGear aria as a prize from a raffle draw. It's quite small and very light. It's about 2" x 3.5" in size, just about as big as a business card. The black glossy interface is very minimal and the only other color you will see is the silver buttons for navigation and menu control. It also has a 2" display in full color.  Easy charging and data input is via USB cable to a computer or laptop and is compatible to most OS. Battery life lasts for about 36 hours.

What is FullSound?
FullSound is Philips latest technology for their GoGear range of MP3 players which brings back the sonic quality that music compression (let's say when the file is converted to the MP3 file format) loses on transfer. It increases the music signal, making you hear the musical genius it took to create the specialized sound that you are listening to.
Now that I've experienced the FullSound technology for myself, it's hard going back to listening to an MP3 player without it. I think me and my Aria will have very long and fruitful fun moments from here forward. For the other mp3 player variants in the GoGear line visit this post.
