Terminator Salvation

terminator-salvation-poster-1 I got to watch this negatively publicized latest installment of the Terminator series through a special invitation for movie bloggers from TV5. Thank you so much for making this possible. The first Terminator movie was released in 1984 and also launched one of the most identified cyborg characters of all time portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Terminator 4, starred Christian Bale as the famous John Connor, leader of the Resistance with Bryce Dallas Howard as Kate Brewster, his significant other. Once again we are brought amidst the war between humans and machines run by Skynet. Following the familiar storyline from the previous movies, this movie however concentrated more on the character storylines much more than the special effects.

We are witness to the heroic conquests of John Connor as he tries desperately to save his father and destroy Skynet. We are shown how he seeks counsels still from voice recordings from his mother and how he acts by instinct during battle. We also begin to sympathize on a prototype of the ever famous T800 and understand how humanly a robot can actually feel. I briefly ached for the supposed romance that was cut abruptly between Marcus Wright and Blair Williams.

This was a highly entertaining and action-packed movie that everyone should get a chance to see. Although there were negative reviews out there on how this movie really ties up to the Terminator Series, I still give it four out of five stars.
