Gameplay
Simple enough, to progress through different levels you have to type in the falling words as fast as you can. The words fall faster as you go through higher levels. Longer words are also more prominent from levels 6 and up. Correct words fill up the green meter located on the right side of the game screen. Wrong words fill up the red meter. Gamelevel progress indicator is shown by a pile of papers slowly filling up at the corner.
This is the starting game interface screen.
You might notice several strips of words colored in black, yellow, blue, violet or red. Black is a score multiplier, yellow gives you the "slow" powerup, blue gives you the "ice" powerup, violet gives you the "wind" powerup and red gives you the "fire" powerup. The slow powerup slows down the dropping speed of the letters. Ice temporarily freezes the words on the screen, you will not lose any available powerups, although since they're frozen over, you won't be able to see the color anymore. You'll still be granted the powerup for that word. (Thank you David for the comment) The fire feature burns all the words on the screen. This is handy when the flurry of words become too overwhelming. The wind feature refreshes your red bar meter to zero. At the end of each level, your score is calculated and given a bonus if you've attained 100% and error free, meaning you've correctly typed each word. Different titles are available corresponding to your final score. You will be able to see your ranking among your friends who has the application installed.
Tips
Try to get all the words right during the early levels of the game. The extra bonus gained from this will really mean a lot in the end. Try to get all the special colored words first because this will prove very useful during tight spots. Hold back on using these special features unless you really really need to. Use the Ice and Fire feature when a lot of words are flooding your screen, so that you can start fresh. I also found it useful to type in slow (if you've got this extra) at once during the high levels before even the first word starts to fall. Take rests in between levels. All those falling letters can cause severe strain on the eyes, making it harder for you to focus and concentrate. And lastly, practice makes perfect.
Get bonuses if you get all the words right.

In the description of the "ice" power up, it is stated that you lose "any special colored words while this is activated."
Please note that the words are still colored...you just can't see the color anymore. As I type in "ice", I take note of the colored words and make sure I type those words while the freeze is in effect. I am still awarded the power up.
One nice thing about the "fire" power up is that you still get the power ups from the colored words that burn.
One tip that should be added is that the player only has a limited number of power ups that they can hold onto. If the player has a favorite power up, he or she should be sure to use up the other power ups to make sure there is room for when a colored word drops. I usually only keep one "wind" power up since I type really fast and don't usually need to reset the red bar.
Thanks David for sharing your tips, I've edited the parts that needed to be corrected. Much much appreciated. :-)
I just wanted to thank you for posting such a complete report on this fun game. I just discovered it last night, and already, in less than twelve hours, I've got sixteen friends playing it on Facebook. I was really struggling to figure out a couple of the rules and functions, and your article really helped! Thank you so much,

Wow! Thanks @krmb. Glad that I could help out. Have fun playing the game!
Do you have the list of rankings after spiritual entity status (this is after uber alien status)?
Hi there! I wish you left your name but I currently don't have the list of rankings after the alien status. I'd have to research on that. I'll post an update and see what I can find out.
There is alot of games available on facebook. I really like flash based games because they have different charm of playing. Typical maniac looking nice games. Will surely try it. Thanks for sharing
I just found this game yesterday - have a problem from time to time with my keyboard "locking up" in mid game so that I can't type anymore! If I restart the game it is no longer locked up. Anyone else have this problem, or any ideas as to what might cause it?
Another hint is the space bar works as an enter key. I was hitting the enter key after typing a word, but the space bar also works
Nice one anonymous.. Or, whatever your name is. The space bar really helped me, although, it was in my system to automatically push enter instead of space.. Weird, huh?
On the "bookshelf" where the special powerup bars are stored, there's an extra empty shelf ... I'm convinced there has to be a way to be able to store more powerups there ... any ideas????
@anonymous, as of now no releases about that yet.
what is the purpose of the man crossing the screen. Do you type anything to earn extra points when you see him?
@anonymous, I've also wondered about that myself, I used to think that he was an indicator for something but he seems to be coming out of random.
Thank you so much. I've been playing for a few days and had figured a little out on my own. I'm excited to go back and play now that I have half a clue. Thanks again! Julie
Thank you for the information and the tips. It helps to know the rules.:)
My 12-year old was sitting with me when nothing I typed was taking. He advised me to click inside the game. That did the trick. I had used the outside scroll and that is why the game wasn't recognizing my typing...
I think the old man with the candle is simply a distractor, but has anyone discovered another purpose?
Tell me again what good the gray words do?
There is limit of six powerups in your 'store'. I find it a pain that I 'have' to use up some powerups just to be able to put new ones in.
