Facebook game: Biotronic

Another Facebook game application that's currently getting it's users hooked is Biotronic from Metrogames. The game has similar concepts and gameplay from the more popular Bejeweled game that hit casual gamers years before. However I found this game much much more difficult.

Match the jewels in three's, four's or five's and even a very rare six jewel combo. The jewels have been replaced by little symbols that reminded me a little of cogs, hence something to do with the game title I guess. The design of the "cogs" make it a bit more difficult to process them for matching. The progress bar on top indicates your life meter to progress to the next level and your hourglass to indicate how much time you have left.

You can get an added time bonus if you match cogs with little clock symbols in it, but mind you it's really not much. Matching 4 objects give you a bomb item and matching 5 objects gives you the "same color bomb" item. Tip: Hold off on using these items unless you really really have to. I found them so useful during the higher levels when the progress meter goes down really fast.

You get bonus points if you clear a level quickly and added points as well for the number of combos you've performed for that level. There's really no quick way of beating this game but to practice recognizing the colors and matching them fast. As of now, I've only reached about 115K score and just under the Top 10 in my friend list. It's really hard.
