For our final Food stop during our last day at La Union, we ate lunch at Midway Grill. We only had an hour to spare so we had to order and eat fast. Fortunately, the staff here also worked at getting our orders out at once so we didn't lose any precious time waiting. After eating, one thing is for sure...I'm going back to this place the next time I'm in La Union. Their food was sooooo good.
Pork Binagoongan – this was different from the binagoongan that I was used to, the pork meat was grilled first and then cooked with La Union’s special bagoong.
Grilled Squid – this was cooked perfectly! The minute I bit into it, I couldn’t help but say “yum, yum, yum”
Baby Back Ribs – their specialty and a must try to get first-hand experience of the melt-in your mouth tenderness of the meat that just falls easily right off the bones.
Buko Pandan – even this one was slightly different but very very good. The macapuno-like buko chunks are served with lime colored jelly and crushed ice.
