Unfortunately though, the release date is still unclear and is faaaar far off. Blizzard is really taking its sweet time with this and gamers are getting antsy (me included). No announcements as of yet either on the system requirements for the game according to the official site. When I played way back, I chose to play assassin and amazon because they were the female character classes available. I'm much more inclined to play female characters. Now however, the four character classes available only feature one female and a wizard at that. Hmmm, I don't like wizards that much though. Maybe I'd try out the new monk class.

Witch Doctor – a new class with powers such as firebomb, horrify, locust swarm, mass confusion, soul harvest. View the character profile here.
Wizard – dealing with forbidden magic, her powers include disintegrate, electrocute, teleport, magic missile, slow time. View the character profile here.
Barbarian – your fighter class. For straight up brawn action, his skills include power attacks like cleave, ground stomp, leap, seismic slam, whirlwind. (kinda reminds me of the hulk

Monk – an interesting class. Might be the class I’d eventually end up playing when the game comes out. His powers include crippling wave, impenetrable defense, exploding palm, seven-sided strike, way of the hundred fists. View the character profile here.

Don't worry about the apparent lack of the fairer sex, as is planned now, ALL character classes will give you the choice of male or female.
