When we go to the beach, aside from playing around and swimming in the water, another option to have fun is to build sand castles. Technically when you say sand castle, it is a miniature sand sculpture resembling a building or a castle. Sand sculptures are not only creative and unique, it falls into a whole different category of exhibitionist art. How do you make sand art? The two most basic ingredients are sand and water but they have to have the proper mixture and consistency otherwise the sand art will just collapse on itself. Since sand sculpting has become so popular, various beaches around the world have held host to competitions. The end result of the sand art, has to be sprayed with as stabilizing coating so that it can be properly judged and enjoyed by the spectators. Coated sculptures can last for months.
