I got this event alert from my Facebook and I would like to share it with all the animal lovers out there. Here are the details posted for this event.

"World Animal Day is our day. =)

A day for celebrating it with people like YOU who recognize the special bond between animals and humans.

And for those who make this world a better place -- champions of animals and the environment - they've gathered together to make the celebration something to really wag our tails about :

Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF), Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) - Animal Welfare Division, Compassion and Responsibility for Animals (CARA), Earth Island Institute-Philippin es (EII-Phils), Feathered Friends Foundation (FFF), Network for Animals (NFA), Palawan Animal Welfare Association (PAWA), People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) - Asia Pacific, The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF)

So watch out for further announcements on our upcoming events like the unveiling of the WAD Memorial Wall, Pet Blessings to be held all across the country on October 3 and 4 -- and a special Concert for the Animals by animal-loving celebrities and bands.

Sept. 12 - Dr. Dog Lecture at UST Graduate School

Sept. 15 - Free Spay-neuter and Vaccination program at Brgy. Bagong Bantay, Quezon City

- OPEN TO BRGY BAGONG BANTAY RESIDENTS ONLY

- attendees need to pre-register for this event, contact your barangay

- FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED, please call 475-1688 or email at philpaws@yahoo.com for more details, PAWS may hold another Free Spay day in another time and place depending on the demands we will receive thru phone and email.

- DO NOT FEED YOUR CAT/DOG FOOD OR WATER 12 HOURS PRIOR OPERATION. IMPORTANT REMINDER.

Sept. 27 - Philippine premiere of "Earthlings" the award winning animal rights doumentary, narrated by Joaquin Phoenix

Oct. 2 - Story telling competition at Museo Pambata

Oct. 3 - Pet Blessing & Pet Fair at Bonifacio High street, Launch & General assembly of the PAWS Aspin Club

Oct. 4 - Pet Blessing & Fund Raising Concert for the Animals at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall
