Not too late for Twilight

So after eons, I finally got to see the movie Twilight. I missed its showing on the big screen and come to think of it, I can't think of the reason why I never got to see it. I think it was all because of the disappointment that most people got even after all the hype. I heard mixed reviews about it. Most of the people who read it, got disappointed over the movie. People who didn't read the book, liked the movie.

The whole series has been sitting on my bookshelf for months and I've only started reading the first book. I decided to watch the movie before I get severely disappointed if I finish the book early on. So while I was doing some major CAD details, I had Twilight playing in the background.

What do I think of it? Well, honestly I liked it. After I read the book, let's see if I will still like the movie. I think there's enough in the movie to get you quite curious with the upcoming ones. The rivalry between the warring clans of the vampires and the werewolves sharing on area, the forbidden love between vampire and human and how long the "vegetarian" vampires can keep up without trying to drink Bella's blood. All these mixed into one highschool scenario.

I think the courtship and romance between Bella and Edward was a bit rushed and should have been played out more beautifully if given more screen time. That would have driven the couple's fans wild. And yes, Rob Pattinson was quite dreamy in this flick, especially his eyes. You could just drown in them. *blush*

I can't wait to see New Moon, and finish the book! Looks like I'm going to be quite a fan from now on.
