Exotik Restaurant

Location: Longos Hi-way, Kalayaan, Laguna

IMG_0124 Every year, my whole family troops over to Quezon province to spend Christmas with out relatives. On the way there, me and my sister usually beg our parents to stop over and eat at Exotik Restaurant. Yes they really do serve exotic food there but I'm just not really brave enough to try anything beyond the fried frog legs.

The restaurant is nestled on a cliffside and they've integrated parts of it to become one with the lush greens of the mountains. Before you reach the dining area, there's a "pasalubong" shop where you can buy bags, purses and wallets made from frog skins and other whatnots.

IMG_0135-tile  No fancy interiors here, just good old ethnic style.

IMG_0139The frog legs were good, I managed to eat this whole plate by myself. hehe

IMG_0140  The fried catfish was good too, I wasn’t brave enough to try out the ginataang bayawak though.

Me and my sister cooled off with these refreshing drinks. I had the buko pandan smoothie and she had the melon.

Next time I’ll try to be braver and try out the more exotic dishes. *I’ll keep my fingers crossed*
