I can't bear having no extensions in my browser and so I've searched all over to find suitable extensions to my Google Chrome that I can't live without. Here's my list….
First off, there are no available extensions for the stable release of Google Chrome, so if you want to add them, you have to download the developer release. To add an extension is just like adding an add-on for Firefox. Just click the install link and that's it. You can browse the extensions you have installed in your browser by clicking the wrench icon and the extensions submenu.
AdBlock+ (click to install)
I don't want to surf sites and be bothered by all the distracting ads that they have in it, this extension blocks most ads as long as you're subscribed on a list. So after installing this extension, make sure to configure the preferences and choose which list you'd like to subscribe to and save your settings.
WOT/WebOfTrust (click to install)
This gives me an early warning if I accidentally stumble upon a website that is not safe. You will be prompted to create an account as soon as you install this extension which is alright because you'll be able to give ratings to websites as well.
Session Saver (click to install)
When I'm doing vast amounts of research and I have a whole lot of tabs opened in the browser, I want to be able to save my session, just in case I have to do something else. The Session saver icon is located on the bottom left of the browser as soon as you've installed it.
Gmail Checker (click to install)
This gives an alert every time you receive a new email, sadly though it can only give you alerts for one account, there's no extension yet for multiple accounts.
**Bookmarks Synchronization
This is not really an extension but an in-built feature of Chrome. I used to use Xmarks in Firefox before because I have thousands of bookmarks in my browser. The Sync feature in Chrome enables me to export my Firefox bookmarks to my Google account and this will by synced to my Chrome browser.
There are hundreds of extensions available, doing all sorts of tasks. You can browse for them here.

I've been using Chrome for about 3 months now and although I love it, I do miss the Firefox add-ons. Thanks for the info! =)
Yeah let's wait a little more and I'm sure Chrome will have just as many extensions as firefox does.
