How to make an Animated GIF image in Photoshop

Here's my tutorial on how to make an animated GIF image in Photoshop. I used this to make my blog badge. To learn how to upload the badge to your Blogger blog, read this post.

Create a PSD file of your desired animated image. Remember to organize the layers on how you want the animation frames to be ordered.

layers

Click on the menu WINDOW>Animation. This will show the animation options available in Photoshop. Convert the timeline animation to frame animation. You can do this by clicking on the lower right filmstrip icon.

add new frames

Add the animation frames and click on the layer visibilities of each layer that you want to appear on each frame.

change delays

Adjust the amount of time that each frame will be delayed after the first.

looping

After you've done this to all the frames, Click on the option to SAVE FOR WEB & DEVICES. File Type should be set to GIF and remember to set the looping option.
