It's been on the news for quite sometime and the whole country is abuzz and highly anticipating next year's elections. Candidates are filing in their candidacies and establishing their platforms but I think it would be better to have just one great mash up of all the information that we need to get to know each and every candidate so that we can properly choose the best leader for our nation.

Politicalarena.com is the first online socio-political networking site to obtain this goal. Politicalarena.com operates under the network of 88DB.com, the Philippines’ first rich media service portal. The homepage of the site lists thumbnail pictures of the aspiring candidates and the current state of their candidacy. It also specialized sections updated with relevant posts and articles, a countdown timer and several links to other networking sites.

If you want to gear up with information and get access to voter education, you are free to check out each candidate's profile page to get to know what their advocacy is as well current projects they have partaken into. There's also a section called election 101, with direct links to articles on the registration process and comelec. There is also a page for political issues which lists questions aimed toward the candidates themselves, just click on the question links to see their answers.

I think the most interactive page on this site would be the political forum. This requires a one time registration so that you'll be able to post new topics and post replies on existing ones. I have just registered myself and posted a topic on the forum. You can browse through relevant topics and join in on the discussion. This arena will give you a look on how concerned citizens really react to a certain issue and what common denominator most online participants has on a topic.
