IMG_0133I was invited to a Johnson and Johnson event organized by Nuffnang a few weeks ago at The Manila Peninsula. It was really a mommy blogger event and considering that I was still single, I somewhat felt a little out of place during that event but I had a good time and I learned a lot. Hopefully my learnings will prove to be useful when I become a mommy myself.

IMG_0132The event was hosted by Ms. Christine Bersola-Babao and entitled Bedtime Discoveries. They had a very dreamy bedroom-like setting and had us sitting on comfortable couches with bedroom slippers on. That was definitely a first. We were educated about the importance of sleep for a growing newborn and how sleep plays a big factor on a baby's growth. Dr. Luis Rivera provided a presentation about the studies and research data that they conducted at the Philippine Society of Sleep Medicine.

The Bedtime Discoveries products were presented to us coinciding with the 3 step bedtime routine for the baby.

Step 1 - A lukewarm bath using J&J Bedtime Discoveries Bedtime bath product. The bath in itself will send the signal that it's bedtime.

Step 2 - A soothing massage using J&J Bedtime Discoveries Bedtime lotion. I gotta say, the lotion was infused with aromatic scents that really will lull you and your baby to a relaxing sleep.

Step 3 - Powder puff with J&J Bedtime Discoveries Bedtime Powder. This also introduces quiet time or winding down for bed with stories, a little lullaby and cuddling

Alongside with the launch of the products, they also showed us their now up and running site hosted on Babycenter.com.ph. The section on Johnson's Baby Bedtime discoveries is an infocenter with a lot of sleep tools that you can use to find solutions for your baby's sleep problems, there's also a knowledge section for the research that they've conducted on sleep. There's also a Mommy corner where mommies can interact with other online moms and share the joys of their parenting experiences.
