Experience the Thrill of the Trail

The health benefits of running include improved cardiovascular health, weight loss, increased bone density, improved muscle mass and a generally better emotional disposition. Some say it also slows down aging. Running as a sport however is a test of endurance. Marathon races are often joined in by amateur and professional endurance athletes and runners alike.

The Thrill of the Trail is one such race. Going on its third year now, the running series this year is going to be held at Nuvali, Laguna. The run indeed should be preceded by rigorous training and a background on trail running. The said event is sponsored by The North Face. They are also the folks responsible for The North Face 100 Trail Running Ultra Marathon series which spans 5 countries in Asia namely, Australia, China, Philippines, Japan and Taiwan.

Teaser 18in x 24in_2The Thrill of the Trail NUVALI aims to further promote trail running in the Philippines. The campaign has already been started on initial legs done in Nasugbu, Batangas and Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao. Also currently in the line up is Bohol, Visayas.

As an added twist and fun factor, this year's Thrill of the Trail will also host an 11K couple's category. The special category will require the couples to finish the line together while holding hands, to celebrate the love and very timely on Valentine's Day. Now wouldn’t that be a sight to see. The couples category is open with no gender restrictions.

For most endurance athletes, the Thrill of the Trail is a preparation for the extreme North Face 100 Trail Running Ultra Marathon.
