What I like about Yahoo! Meme

If you’re very observant, current social trends in the world dictates that everything now has become very fast paced, people have had shorter and shorter attention spans. Thus the need to have everything that you need presented to you immediately and prompt. This is what I associate with micro-blogging. It lets you share short clusters of posts, photos and videos in a snap. Yahoo! Meme is one such micro-blogging platform.

I like using Yahoo! Meme because of the simple dashboard, the fuss-free interface and how quickly I can repost interesting memes that I happen to frequent upon. It takes advantage of the power of the internet and social networks to spread ideas whether for a targeted audience or even to the world. My meme page is called What a Wonderful World. I've chosen to showcase photos that depict the beauty of nature.  With it, I've shared landscape shots that I took from trips, cool animal photos that I've seen while browsing the web and interesting vignettes that I've attached with inspirational and motivational quotes. It's my own little way of sharing some bit of beauty and positivity to my growing network of followers. When they see a post of something from nature that is nice and beautifully photographed, I might have just cheered them up or made their day and that is what I created my meme for.

I was formally introduced with the power features of Yahoo! Meme through the short presentation of Mr. Jonas de los Reyes during the Blog4Reviews Christmas party. Through it, I've come to acknowledge how much its popularity has grown in the Philippines and just how fast information can be shared online.
