Overwhelmed and Happy

I celebrated my birthday last Wednesday and it’s the best yet. There wasn’t any extravagant parties nor over-the-top expensive gifts yet I felt the love of everyone around me.

At precisely a few minutes past midnight of my birthday, I posted a vodka shots status on my Facebook and within seconds, friends were already replying and sending me greetings. At the end of the day, this was the total tally of comments…

This is not including even the ones who sent me private messages in my inbox. Thanks to the power of the internet.

I took a leave off work for my special day. It was one day not to be thinking anything about stress, work and responsibilities. That didn’t happen entirely but I really didn’t want to dampen my happy mood so I shrugged it off. I love the gifts I’ve received and the love that came with them.

Thanks to everyone who remembered, another year that I’ve become wiser, hopefully this year is another year that will make me a better person and live a more fruitful life.
