At level 26, I've been hooked playing Zynga's Cafe World on Facebook for quite a while now and it looks like I'm not getting tired of it anytime soon. To get started you need to set up a quaint little cafe. Make it your own by giving it a name and dressing your character up as the chef.
The premise of the game is simple, you need to gather enough cafe points to progress to the next level. You can do this by cooking up dishes and serving them in your cafe. As you gain more levels, you get to unlock new dishes to cook and get awards as well. The first few levels of the game serves more as a walkthrough for you to get the hang of the time. The tutorials will level you up enough until you can hire a friend or staff to help you out. These "hired" friends will serve your food as you finish cooking them. You are only provided a few stoves and serving counters at first, but you get to unlock more as you get to the higher levels.
Each unlocked dish has its own equivalent total of cafe points while it is being prepared and served. The longer it takes to cook, the higher the cafe points you'll get. TIP: Choose to cook menu items that takes longer to cook versus the ones that you can serve quickly. They are worth more gold coins, they don't spoil as fast and they are available in more servings. So they are definitely worth the wait.
You can also add neighbors to your cafe and visit them each day for extra cafe points and gold coins.
Everytime you cook a dish, at times you'll get an alert informing you that you've cooked too much portions of the dish. You can choose to publish this on your Facebook wall and they will be available to your friends as gifts. At the same time, you can also get extra dishes from your friends. TIP: While waiting for your own dishes to cook, you can serve up these gifts for the meantime. Try to hoard as much as you can. Choose a filter on the live feed in Facebook for Cafe World so that you can easily the extra dishes that your friends have cooked up. Open each gift in separate tabs. You just need to use one tab to open the game and you'll see that the gifts are now in your inventory. However, if you see the gifts in the notifications page, you'd have to accept each one individually.
By default, you can view all the available dishes for all levels in the Menu tab. What's nice about the game is, they constantly add new dishes every game update. TIP: Try to leave one stove dedicated to short time dishes. Although some dishes cook faster, the extra portions will also be generated into your gifts inventory.
The higher the rating of your cafe, more and more people will walk in and taste your dishes. The highest buzz rating so far is 105. Regardless of at what point you log out of the game, your buzz rating freezes when you're offline. TIP: Try to maintain a buzz rating of above 90, so that you can earn enough gold points.
There are certain achievements in the game that you can get by way of awards. Awards are rewarded a medal, cafe points and gold coins. You can publish each award on your wall and your friends can benefit from these as well.
The number of people that you can serve will depend on how big your cafe is. You can purchase cafe expansions once you've garnered enough gold coins. Try to work in a layout where your waiters can easily serve your customers and your cook will not have to walk far to serve the dishes on the serving counters. TIP: Try to locate your serving counters in the middle and surround it with dining tables. This way your waiter won't have to walk far and your customers won't walk out and give you a negative on your buzz rating. Take note also that there are no blocked paths. Each pathway requires one block of tile.
Happy cooking! Don't resolve to cheat engines, they take the fun away in playing.
