Get your Yogurt Fix at Yogurt Nation

4912256318_35ae83a7df_zI got invited to a blogger event over at The Fort for a night of yogurt to which I was more than glad to attend. I LOVE YOGURT! I was pleasantly surprised when I got there to find out that the venue was more than just a dessert shop, it also had a mezzanine floor for dining (Yes they serve really great pasta and sandwiches.) and a bar lounge on the top floor. Cool huh? You can stay in one place, hang out – dine – and get awesome dessert at the same time.

The Drinks

DSC_0041 I talked with the owner Mr. Jeff Roxas-Chua and he said, they do offer cocktails with yogurt at the lounge and nope to answer your questions, there’s no danger for your tummy here. Yogurt in fact helps cure tummy aches.

Yay great morning!

Saturday, August 28, 2010 0 Comments

I was up since 5am this morning from a good night’s sleep. First time in days that I got a full 6 hours or so. It’s been quite a hectic week so far. Tuned in to my friend Vince Golangco’s show at Mellow 94.7 and sent him a morning greet and oh I answered a question too.

Yay! Thanks Vince for mentioning my tweet and for promoting my blog. Really appreciate it! Keep the good music coming. :)

Thursday, August 26, 2010 2 Comments

Anticipation is building for the upcoming film The Legend of the Guardians which is directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300) and based on the beloved Guardians of Ga’Hoole books by Kathryn Lasky.

Here’s a chance to meet the characters:

Guardians_SorenSoren (voice of Jim Sturgess) -- A young male Barn Owl enthralled by his father’s epic stories of the Guardians of Ga’ Hoole, a mythic band of winged warriors who had fought a great battle to save all of owlkind from the evil Pure Ones. Soren was snatched by patrols from St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls.

Guardians_Gylfie Gylfie (voice of Emily Barclay) – A female Elf Owl, who is Soren’s best friend. She was snatched by patrols from St. Aggie’s after trying to fly before her wings had completely fledged.

Guardians_Twilight Twilight (voice of Jay Laga’aia) – A male Great Grey Owl who claims that he taught himself everything about surviving (at the orphan school of tough learning),and was abandoned within hours of hatching.

Guardians_Digger Digger (voice of David Wenham) – A very smart tracking Burrowing Owl. He was separated from his parents when owls from St. Aggie’s attacked his family.

Guardians_Eglantine Eglantine (voice of Emilie de Ravin) – A female Barn Owl, Soren’s beloved younger sister.

Guardians_Kludd Kludd (voice of Ryan Kwanten) – A male Barn Owl, older, evil brother of Soren.

Academy Award-winner George Clooney plays Jack, a weapons maker for professional assassins and a killer himself, who suddenly becomes the target, in Focus Features’ new thriller The American.

Adapted from Martin Booth’s 1990 novel A Very Private Gentleman, the film will be shown soon exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas (Trinoma, Glorietta 4 & Greenbelt 3).

In many ways, the character fits Clooney: smart, handsome, worldly. But the character is hardly the man, who in addition to being voted “sexiest man alive,” is a writer, director, producer and humanitarian.

Indeed, as The American director Anton Corbijn says, Clooney is able to weave all of these identities together: “He’s a director’s favorite in terms of understanding what a director needs from an actor. He’s directed three films and so he knows that it’s very important to have an actor who’s on set. So George is never in the trailers. He’s on set and ready.”

“Jack is a character George hasn’t played before; it’s always interesting when an actor finds something new,” continues Corbijn. “He’s so good with dialogue, and in this movie he is playing a man of few words who is always on the lookout and constantly in a state of tension.”

Producer Grant Heslov adds, “Jack is someone who is only now finding moments of beauty in his life. Even if he now makes the right choices, does fate have a different idea for him? George brings this stillness to the role of Jack, who spends a lot of time in silence. That’s a challenge for an actor, to keep the inner life going on-screen.”

“This role reminds me of George’s Oscar-nominated work in Michael Clayton, in that he can convey so much through his eyes alone,” offers producer Jill Green. “Audiences instinctively place their trust in George, which is important to our establishing the character of Jack.”

However, producer Anne Wingate says, “It’s a much darker role for George, yet he embodies the character so well. We were all rather ecstatic to get him to play the part.”

Of his leading man, Corbijn states, “He is a serious actor yet keeps everyone entertained on set, so cast and crew enjoy his company, and he takes pleasure in the work. He’s so good at keeping everyone motivated. George also knows how to deal with the attention he gets in public with charm and grace, which was invaluable.”

TRON: Legacy Billboard Art

Tuesday, August 24, 2010 , 1 Comments

Now we take a look at the billboard promotions for Tron: Legacy. The movie will be released in Disney Digital 3d and on IMAX 3d theaters soon.

In the film, Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), a rebellious 27-year-old, is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn (Oscar®-winner Jeff Bridges), a man once known as the world’s leading video-game developer.

When Sam investigates a strange signal sent from the old Flynn’s Arcade—a signal that could only come from his father—he finds himself pulled into a digital world where Kevin has been trapped for 20 years.

With the help of the fearless warrior Quorra (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe—a universe created by Kevin himself that has become far more advanced with never-before-imagined vehicles, weapons, landscapes and a ruthless villain who will stop at nothing to prevent their escape.
