Photography: Exploded Flowers

By Cher Cabula - Wednesday, October 12, 2011

A good photographer knows how to take shots of a scene that has an interesting story to tell. The composition will be depended on his thought process and creativity. Sometimes though, you can integrate deconstructive thinking to create unique concepts in photography.

At the Thoughtful Photography site, one of the portfolio sets available feature an exploded flower series. This is the first time I’ve seen a work of art like this. Each petal of the flower is meticulously plucked and arrayed on a flat surface, making it seem like the flower bud exploded delicately from within.

Visit the official site to view more photos from the series as well as other galleries from the artist’s portfolio. [LINK]
