Movie Preview: The Woman in Black
I’ve been having a Harry Potter run since Christmas. I’ve been listening to the audiobook of HP and the Deathly Hallows in my car and I’ve been keeping it running in a small window while I work at home. So I was happy to stumble upon a post-Harry Potter movie that Daniel Radcliffe is starring in. Check it out, it’s a horror movie entitled The Woman in Black which is essentially a remake of an old film.
The plot basically goes like this:
Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) took on a job which involves sorting out a deceased client’s papers who lived in a remote village. Kipps begins to uncover secrets as he dug deeper into the client’s life, then he starts seeing a woman dressed in black. Letting his curiosity get the best of him, he sets on an investigation to find out who the mysterious woman was which in turn leads to a race against time as he discovers her true intent.
It looks spooky (as seen from the trailers’ dark scenes) and I’m glad that he’s stepping out from the Harry Potter mold. I’m not really a big fan of the horror movie genre but I’m curious enough to see how Daniel’s acting will be in this film. The Woman in Black is slated to be released next month.
