Climate change, we can all feel the effects of it. Still it defies my understanding why some people still think that it’s a hoax. Well, take a look around, the planet is sick and dying from mankind’s continual abuse. Yes, companies are going green and more and more people are taking notice of what they contribute to the environment. The question is, is it all too late? A dystopian Earth is the subject of many sci-fi novels and a handful of movies. Looks like there’s something big heading our way to herald the New Year in 2017. Passengers star Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt. Two of the most sought after and good looking stars in Hollywood today.

It had been 14 years since the release of the first xXx movie starring Vin Diesel as an extreme sports athlete turned into a spy for the US government. Next year, we’ll see Vin Diesel back again in xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

It looks like we haven’t seen the last of the Transformers movie franchise. This coming December 16th will be the launch of the first trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight right before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Yes, I know what you’re thinking, even though the last Transformers movie spearheaded by Mark Wahlberg earned around $1.1B in the box office, it wasn’t received well by fans and critics. Even I, was a little bit displeased with the film. Here’s hoping that in this next one, Michael Bay will be able to redeem himself.

For around a week now, I’ve been not in the best of health. I’ve been battling this viral cough that’s been going around and to tell you the truth, I’ve had enough of not functioning at my usual 100%.

For fans of the Baudelaire children and haters of Count Olaf, there’s reason to be excited about at the start of next year as Netflix premieres Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, as one of its exclusive tv series line-up next year. I’ve gone through all the novels and I thoroughly loved the series. I’ll be looking to watching this definitely.

I’ve always loved Japanese food. Here’s a tip, if I’m in a bad mood, get on my good side by taking me to a really good Japanese restaurant and let me eat Ebi tempura to my heart’s content and we’ll be good in no time. Hahaha, really it’s that simple. Last weekend, for our 1 year and 2 months dinner date, my boyfriend and I went to Kimpura at Greenhills after a quick visit to a project site. Oh and by the way, there’s a Christmas Tiannge ongoing there, so it might be good to get a headstart on your shopping lists. The christmas presentation has also started and you might want to bring your kids there to watch.
Since we went there on impulse and didn’t really have any reservations, we had to sit by the sushi bar which was fine because it was just the two of us anyway. Take note that families love to dine at Kimpura during weekend and if you’re a large group, it’s best to call in for a reservation first. Here’s what we ordered.
Tuna Sashimi to start us off. You can’t beat the fresh quality of this fish.

Once again my random internet browsing has paid off when I found this cute cute mug of Nari the Narwhal. It also gave me an inspiration for a new watercolor series that I can do on my Instagram page. Nari the Narwhal is available exclusively on Firebox. Check out the cute design, she has the cutest horn and a giant blow-hole to hold your coffee in.

Looks like we haven’t seen the last of Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she sets about to bring an end to the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires. In Underworld: Blood Wars, she teams up with David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance). Underworld: Blood Wars opens in Philippine theaters on November 30th.

Who wants to get their sci-fi fix next month? Upcoming movie, Arrival takes its plot from a short story written by Ted Chiang. The sci-fi thriller tells of a mysterious spacecraft that touches down across the globe and a team led by a linguist was sent to investigate. Leading the team is Louise Banks (Amy Adams). They race against time for answers while the world is teetering on the edge of war. Starring alongside her are Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker.

As I browsed through these recently released official images for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, I still can’t help but think of the soundtrack. I can almost hear Gaston (Luke Evans) as he sings inside the tavern. I can hear Mrs. Potts’ (Emma Thompson) voice as she talks to Cogsworth (Ian McKellen), Lumiere (Ewan McGregor) and Chip (Nathan Mack). Emma Watson looks stunning in the iconic yellow “Belle” ballgown that the character wore in the animation.

Do you guys remember Diner Dash and its main game character, Flo? I remember when it came out several years ago, it paved the way for casual time management games. Flo became one of the most recognizable game characters and there had been so many spin-off games after that. Cooking games began to be a whole new genre. Now fast forward to several years later, Flo is still a game icon and the franchise has churned out its most innovative game yet.

The long weekend had come and gone and I hope that by now you’ve taken the time to watch Doctor Strange. You haven’t? Oh boy, you’re missing out. The movie had been a delight ever since we saw a 15-minute preview of the most delightful scenes of the movie and I was counting the days until I got to see the whole film. I tell you, whoever pitched that selected storylines from the Marvel Universe be made into full-length movies deserve so much more than a promotion. After seeing the film, I can’t get enough.

This would be a great treat for my birthday. The movie stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander and takes place decades before Harry Potter and Voldemort.

A few weeks ago, I attended an inspiring event where TCL, one of the world’s leading players in the TV industry, was celebrating 35 meaningful years. As part of their celebratory campaign, they’ve released a four-part web series which features inspiring and bonding moments from exceptional athletes from the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. During the event, we got to hear firsthand about the winning story of Simone Rota.
