Tips for your Daily Beauty RoutineWhen you have a busy lifestyle and a tight budget, you don’t need to have a ton of expensive products nor spend hours on a beauty routine. Incorporate these five simple tips that will help you look and feel your best.
Wake up Your Face
To wash your face in the mornings, start with a clean washcloth, moisten it with hot water, and press the cloth on your face to open pores. Apply a facial cleanser with your fingers, and rinse your face with warm water by splashing it on with your hands. Mix two tablespoons of sugar with two tablespoons of water. Rub the mixture on your face, but avoid the eye area. Rinse this sugar scrub off with cold water, and pat your skin dry with a clean towel.
Apply Sunscreen Regularly and Correctly
Most people either don’t apply sunscreen correctly or omit it on certain days. Ladies often rely on the SPF in their makeup, but makeup doesn’t contain enough. Men often don’t want to bother with sunscreen, but skin needs SPF protection regardless of gender.
To get the maximum protection from sunscreen, apply it daily before going outside, even when it's cloudy or cold. If you wear makeup, apply the sunscreen under the powder or foundation. Don’t forget to apply protection to the back of your hands and your neck. Additionally, use eos lip balm with SPF protection on your lips.
Add Fruits and Vegetables to Your Diet
Many fruits and vegetables contain nutrients that nourish the skin from the inside out. These include lemons, carrots, avocados, tomatoes, apples, beetroot, spinach, sweet potatoes and strawberries.
End the Day on a Clean Slate
The majority of your skin cleansing regimen should take place before bedtime. This includes removal of makeup, if applicable. Even if you don’t wear any, clean your face in the evening to get rid of the day’s pollution. This is also the ideal time to treat and extract blackheads and blemishes because your skin can recover overnight from the irritation. If you have dry skin, moisturize before going to bed as well.
Change Sleeping Habits
You can make two easy changes to help your beauty routine: Sleep on your back with your head elevated above your torso and use silk pillow cases. The former helps alleviate dark circles and puffiness, and the latter keeps your hair from tangling. Additionally, since silk contains amino acids, it’s more compatible with your skin than other fabrics.
Maintaining a routine might sound boring. After all, just the word itself implies that, but taking good care of yourself always brings rewards.
