A Quick Late Breakfast at K & L Cafe

By Cher Cabula-Mendoza - Saturday, May 12, 2018

I woke up early today to be on time for my appointment at Honda Cars Pasig for my car’s twice a year preventive maintenance schedule (PMS). Our breakfast stop over before heading back home was at K & L Café. I used to calligraphy workshops and I hadn’t been there in a while. Besides, when I thought of breakfast this morning, I remembered how I loved their dried pusit or pusit danggit as locals like to call it.

After ordering Benguet coffee, I savored eating Mines View Dried Pusit (Php 189). Just as good as I remembered. Served with rice, egg (cooked the way you like), sliced tomatoes and cucumber plus vinegar and chili sauce.

My husband ordered for himself a delicious serving of Ilocos Bagnet with Tomato Salsa (Php 299). The pork cuts are large and crisped to perfection. If that doesn’t look mouth watering to you, then you’re going to have a craving soon. :P

Of course we couldn’t leave without getting their yummy cupcakes for dessert. We ordered, Blueberry Cheesecake and Cookies and Cream.

K & L Café tweaks their menu to feature Baguio-inspired dishes to which they have done excellently. If you’re looking for a place to just hang out to enjoy a cupcake or two, or to enjoy a scrumptious meal, you can’t go wrong with K and L Café.
