Featuring the Largest Predator of All Time in The Meg

By Cher Cabula-Mendoza - Thursday, May 31, 2018

We've always had a fascination with the deep sea and the creatures we know live in it. What fascinates us more though is when creatures that we previously thought were extinct resurfaces and makes their presence know. In the upcoming movie, The Meg, a stranded crew of an international undersea observation program finds out just that. From the title alone, I'm guessing that Meg stands for Megalodon, the largest shark of all time. [See what it was in history]

The stranded crew is set to be rescued by a deep sea rescue diver, Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) who was recruited by a Chinese oceanographer (Winston Chao). Unbeknownst to everyone, Jonas has encountered this thought to be extinct creature before and now he must risk his own life in order to save everyone.

The rest of the cast include Rainn Wilson, Ruby Rose, Page Kennedy, Jessica McNamee, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Robert Taylor, Sophia Shuya Cai, Masi Oka and Cliff Curtis. The Meg will open in Philippine cinemas on August 8 and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
