My Skincare Routine

By Cher Cabula-Mendoza - Tuesday, June 12, 2018

We all have our own tailored skincare routine, what is important though is to change it every once in a while. I remember there was a time when my skincare routine only ever involved a bar of soap and that was it. Now that I’m older and a little bit more in the know on how to better take care of my skin, let me share the latest one that I have now. I have combination skin, leaning more towards the oily side on my T-zone. This is the reason why I changed up my skincare routine, I didn’t use to have oily skin but nowadays, I noticed unwanted shine which I really didn’t like.

First, I start with removing my makeup. I use Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for Oily and Combination Skin. Now for some people, they use this in the second step, me? I want to remove makeup first before using a facial wash.

My facial wash is Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam. I got this at one of the Sasa stores near our hotel when I went to HK early this year. I got introduced to Innisfree beauty products through my sister, who is an avid fan.

Next, I use Human Nature Balancing Face Toner Oil Control. This has a nice citrusy scent and I know that this uses local products and that’s a plus.

I moisturize with St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Moisturizer. This huuuuuge tub will probably last me a while. It has a delicate scent, cold cream and it’s easily absorbed into the skin. Just a little goes a long way.

I finish off with Garnier Light Complete Yogurt Sleeping Mask. I discovered this product by accident and after using it, I’ve been a fan. It’s mattifying and really refreshing on the skin to use. I wake up in the morning with my skin refreshed and supple.

I exfoliate once a week with St. Ives Even and Bright Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange Scrub.
How about you? What products are in your daily skincare routine?
